Electro Harmonix Freeze Sound Retainer Demo on bass

This is a demo for the new EHX Freeze Sound Retainer effect- a very cool little pedal that allows you to freeze/infinitely sustain notes or chords and lets you play over them based on the "freeze" setting of the EHX HOG pedal.

Fulltone OCD V4 Strat - Part 2

www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Fulltone OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Drive) overdrive pedal is the perfect mate for a great tube amp. If you're lucky enough to own a Vox AC15 or a Marshall JTM45 and have a place where you can turn it up all the way, then you have an idea of what the Fulltone OCD is capable of. Plug in the OCD pedal, lay into a bar chord, and you will hear multiple layers of rich harmonic overtones in addition to the fundamental tone. This is not a subtle effect, these are beautiful ringing feedback tones that can be easily discerned and even sung if you have good ears! The Full Tone OCD produces classic tones you've heard on records by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Hendrix, AC and others. Roll back your guitar's volume knob and you'll have access to a whole myriad of gorgeous tones, including shimmering, spanking, full range clean sounds. The OCD pedal allows your guitar's natural tones to bloom, so your Strat will still sound like a Strat, and your vintage Les Paul will still sound like a vintage Les Paul. Overdrive and distortion pedals have always been something of a compromise in comparison to a great guitar amp cranked to the "sweet spot". Feel, tone, and harmonics often fall by the wayside when an overdrive pedal is plugged into the front end of a great amp, until now. Check out a Fulltone OCD and see what a great overdrive pedal can be!

1975 (2nd gen) SUNN MODEL T

this amp was recently used on our recordings at: www.myspace.com intro note: sorry for the sloppy playing, I didn't really make this video with a certain game plan, just wanted to show how sludgy the amp could be all in itself. Sorry for the audio quality, the camera isn't really made for recording high volume ancient tube amps. Before I purchased this amp, I did some extensive research on it. I was well aware that Sunn's are known for Massive & Crushing Tones. I had asked around attempting to find out if Sunn's (model T in particular) could achieve distortion without the use of a pedal. All the responses I got ranged from "..No", "it's an old amp with a lot of head room, just a loud clean amp, no distortion at all" and "if you put it to 10 you might get a slight crunch out of it". As you know now, this did not discourage me from getting one, so I did. After playing it with and without pedals, one day I decided to crank the volume a little (I turned the master volume to about 3, and the normal and brite channels to 10) and wow, this thing gave out monsterous distortion. Just goes to show you, don't always trust what you read. So anyways, I still continue to find these statements across a wide range of forums and websites. So I decided to make this video for people who might be in the position I was once in (since all the Sunn Model T videos on youtube were usually just fender reissues or owners not quite pushing the amps). If you want any demos of the amp, let me know (ie ...

Sunn Model T Doom Riffs

Three different distortion pedals played through a 1974 Sunn Model T. I used My Gretsch Pro Jet for the Rat and GI Fuzz pedals and a BC Rich Mocking Bird with the Grunge pedal.

Durham Electronics Zia Drive Overdrive Pedal

www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Durham Electronics Zia Drive is designed to give low compression overdrive perfect for the rhythm player. The Zia Drive makes a 6l6 amp sound like EL84's. Tight and chimey, the Durham Electronics Zia Drive will take away the sag and add some low end shine to an EL-34 based amp. Durham Electronics, like all their pedals, chose to skip on the true bypass switch and opted for a high quality buffer. That way the guitar's signal stays clean and there is no annoying pop when switching the effect on and off. The Durham Electronics Zia Drive is smooth and sweet. The Tone control preserves the low end of your guitar no matter where it's set. No more tinny highs and zapped lows. As a clean boost, the Durham Zia Drive is sweet and transparent with a sparkle that is unmatched. The overdrive is clear and singing with a bluesy touch that will bring back memories of early '70s Stones. The Durham Zia Drive was designed primarily for rhythm players but when used to boost the front end of your amp, the Durham Electronics Zia Drive can send your guitar over the top with screaming clarity.

Blackstar HT Dual Pure Valve Distortion pedal

This is a demo of the 2 channel valve distortion pedal from Blackstar, the HT Dual. It is almost a Blackstar HT-1 in a pedal and capable of some amazing tones, this demo is just using the emulated output just to prove how great the tones are. You can obviously use it in front of an amp using the regular output too.

Oscar Jordan's Digitech Harmony Man Intelligent Pitch Shifter Settings

Check out my Premier Magazine review: www.premierguitar.com I'm playing through a Peavey JSX with the clean channel, a Performance Guitar modified Boss Metal Zone, a Boss DD-7 and a Performance Guitar tricked out Strat. I am not using the the Pitch Shifter's distortion send and return. I'm going from the amp into the clean inputs of the pedal. www.myspace.com

Digitech HARDWIRE Valve Distortion guitar effects pedal demo SC-2

One of my kids came in during this demo, and took my Gibson Flying V away from the studio...he's 4 years old, and I guess he wanted to ROCK! Fun stuff... check out www.guitar-emporium.com for all the cool boutique pedals I use and demo...IN STOCK! as well as white coilly cables. The Hardwire SC2 is a nice, crunchy distortion box, with sensative knobs and a solid build...wasn't really for me, but I still feel its a great pedal. I used a Fender Classic Players Jazzmaster, which was a little odd to play, simply because of the scale length of the guitar...enjoy!
